New 1998 dx coupe 5 spd

Hey Guys , I'm Brand new to the honda civic and i love it but i have lots of questions and no answers so if anyone could help it would be very much appreciated first of all im decking this car out with all the money i have i need to find great brands or items for somewhat decent prices im not rich ,
first of all i want to know where i should get my parts from aswell.. i think the next thing i want to do is put some headlights and tailights with the HID kits and then short shifter , cold air intake , and exhaust but im thinking of just getting the ractive axel back exhaust i can't afford headers to muffler. if you guys have any suggestions or great source for parts let me know and , how easy it to put in short shifter ? ..

Re: New 1998 dx coupe 5 spd

hey i just got a 98 civic as well. This is what i think..

A good site for exhaust systems is modacar.com. Not many people can afford header back systems. I've looked around and they SEEM to have the best prices i can find on brand name cat-back exhaust systems.
As far as intakes go, i got mine off ebay, its an AEM (reputable brand) short ram intake, and it helps a little. i got it for $100 with free shipping. If i could go back i would have saved up for a cold air though.
A bit of advice, skip the short shifter. I seriously considered a short shifter myself, but was told that if you aren't going to be tracking your ride then those couple extra seconds you shave off aren't going to matter much.
And for affordable headlights and taillights, i find that ebay has a good selection from time to time.

Thats all i got!
BTW take a look at cardomain.com and hondatech.com, and keep your eye out for polls and parts reviews.
Good luck!
