Does this fender need to be replaced? (~total 129kb images)
My mom and her 99 Civic DX ran into a deer yesterday and thankfully it was a minor accident for her(but not for the deer). The driver side fender was damaged and it takes lots of effort to open/close the door. The garage says it is going to cost $300 to replace the fender. My question is: Which method is cheaper and take less time? 1. replace the fender with the one I can find on ebay for about $60 and do it myself, or 2. remove the damaged fender and try to make it (how?) into the original un-dented shape. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would take it off. Beat it back as best you can. Bondo it, And then repaint it. It would cost you about 20 dollars and a couple hours. But I do body work so it may not be that easy for you. If you're not any good at body work or don't know what you're doing, I would suggest buying the one off ebay.

A fender on eBay is $60 + shipping + paint
Try a junk yard and match the color. Bolt it on and go.
