Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me. I have had my honda civic si, 2001 model with an auto trans. into the garage 3 times now. The engine light is always on, and i am getting a rev when the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd. When the engine warms up it stops. Runs fine once the vehicle is warm. This has been going on for a year. The car has 164,000 km. The mechanics put it on their code readers and it comes up with P0740 TC clutch system failure. The honda dealership in our area just finished replacing 2 solenoids and still getting this error, no change in the car at all. Cost 700.00 to do this. I am wondering if anyone out there has had this happen, or anything similar? The transmission seems to be strong. The mechanics don't think it is the transmission, and i hope it isn't cuz i don't want to have to replace that too! Please help, i am losing faith in honda quality quite quickly here!
