Rear brake lockup

I have an 89 civic with rear drum brakes.My rear driver side brake locks up during hard braking.Can anyone give me some suggestions on what the cause could be?

sounds like your rear wheel cylinder is getting stuck. Go buy new ones for both sides and install them immediately before they lock up and get stuck. Rear brakes, especially drums, are the most neglected and under-maintained.
