Not Quite Overheating, but...
Not Quite Overheating, but...
I have a 2005 Civic and have noticed in the last week that my car is warming up very quickly. Much quicker than I have ever seen before. It is not overheating, but within a mile of driving I am up to my normal temp. The gauge goes no higher, but I am concerned this might cause something very bad. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

is the car parked outside? takes much less time to warm up if everything is already hot under the sun. and if you have a dark color car it warms up faster too.
Re: Not Quite Overheating, but...
I park the car in a garage overnight. Outside during the day. I can understand it warming up fast during the day, but overnight after not driving it for 12+ hours seems odd to me and I don't think it has ever happened before in the last 4 years I have owned it.

No warning lights will come on. If your car overheats the gauge will just go up. Other than that no warning lights go on. Kinda dangerous but thats the way it is. Watch your gauges!
