95 EX, Bad miss after warming up, 1.6 v-tec

Hi everyone,
I've been working on my car a lot lately and now it's time to ask a few questions.
The car wouldn't start and I've had it for a year so I did the plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and coil (and I replaced the antenna because I broke it throwing a tarp over the car after my basketball hoop went through my windshield, but that's another story).
It runs great now when it's cold but as it warms up it develops a bad (I mean really bad!) miss where it stutters badly if I don't keep it really revved up. Before I gave it much thought I replaced the fuel pump thinking I might have a fuel issue.
All this stuff so far seems like good stuff to do anyway with a 95k mile car but I'm running out of cash to throw at it.
If it were an older car I might guess the choke isn't opening all the way or something as it seems to be loading up at lower rpm's and around town.

ANY IDEAS PLEASE????

I've got a few ideas but I'd like to see what the experts have to say. Remember, it runs great when it's cold.

Thanks a lot,
Bart

would anyone happen to know where the temperature sender is that tells the computer the engine has warmed up? Is it the same one that sends temp signals to the coolant guage?
thanks,

Hey Bart,
Sounds like you may have a spark plug wire that is restricting ignition spark at higher temperatures.
As your plug wires warm up, any weak connection or bad spot will become too great a restriction for a good spark to pass through. Try using well-grounded pliers and pull each wire off the spark plug, one at a time, while your vehicle is missing. If you feel little or no change in engine speed after pulling a wire off, that is the wire or cylinder that is giving you trouble.
If this fails, it may be something odd like a cracked or faulty plug.
lemme know what happens!!
Good luck!

coolant temp sensor is located near the thermostat in the water outlet pipes. and it can greatly affect how the car runs. it also feeds to the temp gauge too.
