bypass on Injen CAI

yes I did a search but none were clear about what bypass they used on the Injen Race Division CAI. Will the AEM bypass valve fit on my CAI if I get the correct piping size? I get my CAI today but I think I should just wait for the bypass before I install it. Would it be a pain to install the CAI now and add on the bypass in like a week or 2 when I get it or should I just wait and do it all at once? Also, has anyone actually encountered hydro-lock because of their CAI, what are the chances of it happening?

AEM is the only company that makes the bypass valve.

One...it doesn't say which bypass he used...but i guess AEM is the only one...

Two...I don't really understand how to install the BPV...the pic that he referred to on the link is dead...if anyone has any suggestions that would be huge...thanks...

I e-mailed Injen and they said the bypass would fit if it was 2.5 inches, but they didn't say whether you had to cut into the intake to add it. I don't have a bypass, just the intake and I'm guessing you could just put it between the 2 pipes

I dunno I might just get that splashguard thing until someone knows. Without the bypass just how risky is it to drive in the rain??? What about into a car wash ( with or without an undercarriage cleaner). Hopefully someone has already added the bypass on their CAI, I just installed mine today

I have an AEM CAI without the bypass and have had no problems driving through carwashes even if they spray under. Not sure on this but I think the only way you'll suck up water is if your filter is completly submerged water. I'm planning to just go easy on the throttle when it rains.
