Fuel Door Issue OMG -.-

Okie, so I have a problem. For some reason, the fuel door release handle on the floor of my car isn't working. I push it down and I feel almost no resistance. I popped off the plastic piece surrounding the lock on said lever and looked inside with a flashlight. When I push the lever, I see the little rod moving so I know it is connected fine, but my fuel door doesn't budge. I looked in the trunk and I couldn't find something to pull to release it and the Haynes manual doesn't tell me anything about it. Does anyone know what the problem would be and how I would fix it besides going to the dealer 3 days from now? Anything to check? Etc. Any and all help/suggestions is very much appreciated, I need to get back on the road ASAP! (And yes, this just happened to happen when my gas light is on -.-). The car btw is a 2005 4dr Civic Sedan. Thank you so much!

www.fueldoorfix.com, your cable just broke. and yes you can open the gas door in the meantime by going thru the trunk under the side carpet piece.

I just ordered fueldoorfix yesterday. I am anxious to fix this thing. I have been going through the trunk for 8 months now. I am hoping this will fix the issue.
