Exclamation 94 honda civic 1.6 vtec burning oil

I was wondering if anyone has advice on this I'm going to rip into the motor this weekend it's been burning through allot of oil lately and I know it's ussually caused by either bad valve guides, piston rings or a leaking head gasket just wondering what I should be looking for damage wise when i get the head off and what i should replace if not all the parts (piston rings, valve guides, head gasket) so any advice would be greatly apricated cause I can't even find one of these cars in the junk yard around where i live to get a salvage motor.

you can check to see if the head is warped. but otherwise good plan to replace all the parts.

while you have everything apart, may as well replace as many engine seals as possible. they tend to go bad on older motors. things like timing cover seal, crankshaft seal, cam seal, maybe rear main seal too. whatever you can get to with the motor taken apart.
