Washer fluid warning light
Those Canucks up north get this handy feature on their Civics. Cheap a** Honda won't even offer it to us as an option. Anyone have a parts list or wiring diagram to hook it up? No, I don't want to call a dealer in Canada. Also, where in the dashboard is the indicator? The owner's manual doesn't show it.
Man I want that too.... nothing scarier than running dry on the washer fluid..... damn I'm funny.... seriously why would you want to pay money and go through all the trouble of hooking it up for that?

I know it's not that important but it would be nice to have anyhow. Should have been in every Civic in the first place. How much extra would it have cost them? Hooking it up myself is not a big deal. Just need the parts.
I think I have some info that might be useful. One, you'll more thatn likely will need a new winshield washer tank from Canada. Youll also need a washer fluid level switch. Now check your blue connector going into your guage cluster to see if you have a pink wire going into it. If not, youll have to run a new wire to this spot. I am not sure if youll have the connector down at the w/w tank for this either. That means you need to get the connector for the switch as well and wire it up. All in all, if the connector is ther and the wire is at the guage cluster, it shouldnt be a problem at all. I have completely removed my w/w tank so I know it isnt hard to get to. Youll have to drop your front bumper though.
Hmm...
When I got my car back from my car accident, the wiper fluid container (which was previously destroyed) was put back on without any wiper fluid in it. Fortunately... I didn't give a sh't.

Yeah, I just realized we didn't have that indicator about a week ago when my fluid ran out... I could have sworn we had one prior to that hehe
I sort of with it were there,.. but then again it would be annoying at the same time to have that light on until I get around to getting more fluid in

Re: Washer fluid warning light
Turtle, my Fluid warning light is on even though I have plenty of fluid. If the sensor is bad can it be replaced, or do I need to replace the entire tank?
Appreciate info. Thank you!
