Seat belt replacement
I need to replace the front and rear passenger seatbelts in my '04 Civic. As far as I can tell, the mechanism for the front works fine, I just need to replace the belt. The retractor for the rear may need to be replaced in addition to the belt.
I've been a bit gunshy about it since the Haynes manual implies that disabling the airbag may not disable the pre-tensioners? Is this the case? Is there a safe way to access and replace this piece? I would much prefer to do this work myself if possible.
side note: I realize Honda's warranty will cover seat belt repairs in general, however I highly suspect that "normal wear and tear" does not cover "death by doberman."
Thanks in advance,
~Leliel
