Urgent. Car not starting! Need Help So i've just recently purchased a 1997 civic hatchback dx and have had it for about a month now. Everything was running well until a few days ago it started to bog down and then died. Now it wont start at all. Just replaced the plugs and wireset and it still wont start. It cracks but doesn't fire up. Now I noticed if I switch the #1 and #2 wires it starts but it very rough and boggy. What could be causing all of this? Any help at all would be great. Thanks!

it could be distributor, fuel problems (not enough fuel pump pressure, clogged injectors), or other related parts. my bet is the distributor cap and/or rotor needs replacing. have you checked those?
