my rear defrost isn't working
Re: my rear defrost isn't working
maybe you blew a fuse? or the connections got disconnected? there are 2 visible connections (i believe) from the window into 2 small sockets on each end of the window. if all that is good then your rear window is probably defective. it only takes one scratch of the defroster wire (on the window) to ruin it.
Re: my rear defrost isn't working
i checked the fuse in the engine bay, i believe that is the only fuse for the rear defrost, and it is still good. also i never touched those two plugs, i will go check.

Re: my rear defrost isn't working
The defroster relay is the one just to the left of the large metal case relay at top near center in the under hood fuse box.
When quiet you should be able to hear it and also feel it if you grab the case (have someone turn it on and off with key at position II engine off.
You could try removing it and re-seating it. Also many of the relays in there have the same part # and could be interchanged (keep track of 2 that are swapped)

the thin wires on the window can easaly be damaged. did u have tint instaled and then removed it? could be it got damaged in the process. use an ohm meter and check each wire for an open.
also theres a antena amp in the passenger side C pillar. that went bad on my coupe and killed radio reception. it's basicly a switch that makes the rear defroster the radio antena when off. then feeds curent though it when on. try replacing that.

Re: my rear defrost isn't working
You could try swapping relays (quick, easy free)
Check for voltage at the connectors for the windows grid. One side should have voltage present (with defroster on) and the other side is grounded (just use caution working with the connectors on the glass and the grid lines)

Re: my rear defrost isn't working
So... Do you have voltage and ground at the connectors going to the grid ??
Not sure of the wiring path used for them, But those wires should never flex or be moved much they should not be a problem.
The connectors at the grid may just need reseated or possibly cleaned a bit.
But I would be very careful with them !!

Re: my rear defrost isn't working
you're not looking in the trunk. you need to pull the connectors off the window and check for power there.
