Does anyone have experience relocating the Spare on a 2001 civic coupe? I want to place it
under the car in the back under the trunk. I know it will fit im just having trouble finding the right
bracket that will support the weight. If at all possible I wanted to use the stock bolt. Let me know if
you guys have any tips. Thankx.. . .

I used a 1/4" thick 2x6" Steel plate..bolted each end to the floor pan..Drilled through it and the floor pan...bought a Threaded rod.. Welded it to the plate and cut underneath to desired length.. Used a nut and a steel plate to hol spare in place... used a Wingnut to lock the other nut..

last night i measured the area under my trunk and the stock spare tire would def not fit in there (at least not on my car). unless it was hanging down quite a bit but i dont think that's what you ppl are talking about. wtf, how do you ppl make it fit?

Slikor..it does hang down a bit.. no way around thta without cutting out a hole in your trunk basin and alotta welding..
