00 VTEC exhaust manifold same as 96-98 VTEC?

I have a 2000 Civic EX D16Y8 that came with a header.I would like to re-install a stock exhaust manifold.I see replacement manifolds for 96-98 VTEC, but not for 99-00 model. Does anyone know if 96-98 manifold will fit and hook to exhaust pipe without modifications? Couldn't find any thread to match my question.noob

I've never done it but I've seen plenty of headers that claim to have fitment for 96-00 EXs.

Thanks for the reply. I'm surprised nobody has that knowledge off the top off their heads, but it was worth a try. I'd hate to pick up a 96-98 stock manifold and find that it is different in some way/thanks again

As much as I know, all the D-series engine's exhaust manifolds are interchangable. They are not the same, but they should fit bolt on (with the exception of the D15 manifold, which has the catalytic converter fited on to the manifold. The only problem is, that D16y8 is the best one (in terms of preformance - exhaust gas flow) of the stock d-series manifolds. So if you put on a D16z8 manifold, you can expect a little less power .
