OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

What the hell I'm pissed.

So my car like oil line got a hole in it. TSI oil line, so now thats junk. I got a new oil line on ebay, but it was shorter, still seemed to work. But im ****ing pissed! The oil line one end you can spin on the turbo, but the other side does not spin so when i try and screw it in the WHOLE line turns with it. SO i can't thread it on, I have been trying to do this for over an hour and i give up (using this fitting that goes where oil pressure switch is)

I'm seriously fed up with this BS.

Looking to get an oil sandwich adapter thing. Are they worth it? and do the job?

I need pictures of how it sits and stuff is it an easy install? I need to drive my boosted car and this is getting super annoying.

But please let me know I plan to get the glowshift ebay ones.

I need to order it tonight becuase im sick of this!!!

so let me know thanks

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

screw the NON swivel end in first then attach the swivel end problem solved? I had a line made for mine locally, steel braided both ends with swivels for less than $25 as i recall.

I used a sadwich adapter on mine and works great, feed my turbo and oil pressure sensor from it..... sorry for the crappy picture....

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

i was gonna ask about that....anybody have issues with an oil pressure guage fed off an adapter plate? i have a temp guage/sensor there and the turbo oil feed line, but was wondering about a pressure guage and how much difference it would see from the oem pressure sensor on the block? and yes i do know a little about hydraulics and such, but again, just curious....

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

Well i have no idea what it would read @ the block. I have a small 18"???? braided line going to an electrical sending unit for my oil pressure gauge. Seems to work fine.

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

of course it does, but like i said i'm wondering if and how much of a difference in pressure there would be if you put the sender in a sandwich plate versus a tee off the block where the stock sending unit is located.

i think that pressure is pressure in this case, but i don't know for sure. any ideas? anyone?

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

i would assume as you do, that its the same. Assuming there is no air in the line??? between the engine and the sender

Re: OIL Sandwich oil lines wtf helppppp

Dunno about the difference Tony, I would assume not much as it's all part of the same system. Aside from the other side of the restrictor, if the system is 15psi at the stock sensor location, it's probably 15psi at the sandwich as well.

Good idea on 90 degree fittings Tom. Gonna swap mine to that when i get to the states.
