switching alarm outputs?

is it possible to switch the alarm from parking lights to turn signals? like when you lock or unlock the car and the lights flash. i assume its a simple wire tap, but im not very good with alarm stuff and dont have my install manual for it. its a viper600.

Can't help, but for sure you can. My parking, signal, sidemarkers, rear turn signals flash when the alarm is either going off or arming/disarming and remote started. viper 791xv btw

Re: switching alarm outputs?

It should be a white wire that is fused coming out of the alarm brain that gives out a positive pulse every time you arm/disarm the alarm or when it's going off. That wire is tapped into the parking lights because the parking lights light up all the way around the car. I dont see how you can do just the turn signals because both seperate wires. Maybe splice into both of them since theres left and right?
Ideas anyone?

Re: switching alarm outputs?

i think that would work but i thought of something else, it might be too much wattage for the single small wire. 21wx4=84w is more than a halogen headlight bulb. so idk... maybe its a bad idea.

Re: switching alarm outputs?

You can do this.
You will have to use a couple relays and a diode or two....
You are smart and will figure it out.

Re: switching alarm outputs?

The wire you want to tap into is green/white coming out of the hazard switch. It looks like the relay the grn/wht feeds into has the "flasher" circuit built into it. The wire is positive trigger.

You should be able to move the white from the alarm to that instead of park lights. The only unknown then is will it flash correctly. My guess is it will.
