re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

just got my civic past it's first winter and i noticed a squeaking noise coming from the passenger rear suspension..
i thought it was my bushings.. so i checked for damage.. none.. so i lubed all of them..

noise still there..

so i parked my car at home one day and started to bounce my rear suspension..
and it sounds like its coming from the passenger rear strut mounts...

does any have this problem with their 7th gen?

im planning on taking off my struts and checking the bushings on the strut mounts..

any advice guys???

Re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

mine turned out to be the bump stop squeaking when it moved along the strut. i put a tiny bit of suspension grease in it and it solved the problem

Re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

well for me, i had this problem for MONTHS till i had a chance to install a rsx-s sway bar from my friend and i guess it was the sway bar bushings because after i installed and applied lube....BAM it went away. so.... maybe lube sway bushings?

Re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

well i was having the same problem but i found what was making the sound...it was the poly-urethane camber kit and you really need to grease it from the inside...it was really hard in the beginning but i got it done...now no more sound!!!!

Re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

yeah, also front bushings can still be heard when just the rear of the car goes over bumps since the front susp still moves.

Re: squeaking noise on rear suspension..

here are my suggestions from my experience:
Endlinks if they are not contained in a housing will squeak -loud, a lot and annoying -if not greased or loss of grease.
sway bar bushings will squeak if not greased or loss of grease.
