Civic sitting crooked
I had noticed for a while that my 1996 civic was sitting kinda crooked. The passenger front had the biggest gap between the tire and fender and the drivers side rear was the lowest. I replaced the shocks and springs and nothing changed. So I replaced the bushings in the rear and still nothing. What am I missing? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Civic sitting crooked
UCA = upper control arm.
There's a ball joint in the lower control arm that connects to the steering knuckle. It could possibly be not fully seated. The UCA ball joint could be pressed out of it's fitting if it's really messed up.

and i think he's referring to the front lower control arm (LCA). not sure which side, but i would have it all checked out. you may also have a blown shock on the driver's side rear.

Re: Civic sitting crooked
I also have a 96 civic doing the same thing. I don't think that a shock would cause the car to sit lower. It would seem that the spring would control the height. I am in the process of replacing my springs. Will probably at that time look at the bushings, as they are squeeking some now.
If anyone has other ideas let's hear them.

Re: Civic sitting crooked
Hey guys thanks for the replies. I went out today and checked it out... all the joints and stuff are fine. The springs are Tein H-tech's, which I installed myself... so they are definitely all the same height. I still don't get it... starting to really bug me...
