How do you stabalize engine/tranny?
Okay, it's not really that big of an issue. After I re-installed my left-upper engine mount and torqued it to 54ft-lbs, I can say that it feels okay, and probably exactly like it was when the car was new. BUT, I still feel like the mounts suck. The mounts don't support it well enough, unlike a 91-95 saturn S series which has SOLID mounts.
So is there anything that can be done cheaply?

esmm? energy suspension motor mount inserts. youre gonna have a rough ride tho. the stock mounts are really made well to stop vibration from being transmitted through the cabin.

its really not that bad, and it stiffens shifts, i love mine, and for only 25 bucks u cant beat the price, or u can get an ingalls stiffy, either way it causes some vibration, but shifting is a whole lot better
Re: How do you stabalize engine/tranny?
yeah...you won't notice the vibration after a few days. i've had the torque damper for a few months now and it rides great! love the darn thing. only problem is that now my mounts are torn lol. so yeah, i'd suggest going with the energy suspension motor mounts if you drive rough...

Re: How do you stabalize engine/tranny?
i finally took off my stiffy. felt like i was driving a 20 yr old car and getting headaches when i drove for more than 10 mins at a time from all the bass sounding vibrations. i didnt even mind that it shook like crazy, it just was too loud that i didnt like driving anymore. so off it came. theres quite a good performance difference that i miss, but id rather have a new feeling car.

i have the inserts in my car and i love them. everything has a much more solid feel. the shifts feel nicer, acceleration feels smoother and you feel extra power (as more power is planted to the ground instead of stock motor mounts absorbing the power) wouldnt trade it for the world. for 25 bucks i think its the best mod you can do with that amount of money. the difference is night and day to me. the ride isnt harsh at all from my experience. yeah its kind of vibraty (prob not a word lol) at idle but once you get going the vibrations diminish. if you were thinking about getting the mm inserts in the first place then you must be interested in the performance of your car and the esmm is indeed a good, cheap performance mod . i say get it.

I think I will try them. Worst comes to worst, I will sell them here.
