I installed a Neuspeed strut bar in my 03 LX and afterwards there is a noticeable moaning sound at light throttle take-off. I believe the bar is touching the hood somewhere. Any of you guys have this problem? Any suggestion on how i can fix this noise?

its actually vibrating the big a/c hose that is very near or touching the bar on the right side.

hmm, i just checked and saw the a/c hose is close but not really touching the bar. i'll try to insulate them and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks!

well i was suspecting the bar is touching the hood at the upper left corner, so i wrapped a band-aid around that area lol, you guys can see in the pic. Well i bought the bar new, so it cant be bent in the first place.

if it's hitting your hood then it would leave some black marks because you have a white hood, by judging on your pic - i don't see any marks at all...you sure its your hood? might be something else no?

thanks, my dealer steamed cleaned the engine compartment when i did the 60k mile service. Pretty good for a $250 total bill. My engine has no more ticking sound at idle now after doing the service.

So I was looking into what gearbox said about the a/c hose being close to the bar. My dad helped me tie a rubber pad between the bar and the hose to isolate the two parts and guess what, it fixed the moaning noise! My car is so smooth again now! It had been bugging me for months. Thanks gearbox! mad props to you man!

looks just like garage, except with less crap in it....

i prolly would have zip-tied those two hoses out of the way or to something to stop the vibration. that looks kinda ghetto with that big piece of rubber on there....

ya just ziptie to that bottom hose. or get some adhesive back foam and wrap it around the bar once. and change your user title since youre not bone stock anymore

i think i got it from robearracing but i dont remember for certain.

Normal driving i cant really feel any difference, but it seems to stiffen the front up a bit if i take a corner really fast. Maybe it will make more difference with performance springs which i dont have.

that is one clean *** garage though lol...wish mine look like that..it would a great place to put my car in lol...my car is making an anoying vibrating sound too but cant figure wuts doing it..and it only does it when it hits 2500 rpm...Help lol

Thanks for the garage compliments. My parents and I epoxy diy the entire garage floor 6 months ago for about $100 in so it looks really nice now. We cleaned out all the trash and spider webs in the process too.
