Can't slam our car!!!!!

What you guys think of this
Let me list the problems you're going to have:
1. You have to roll up you rear fender lips
2. You have to find a really short shocks for your rear suspension
3. You start bottoming your front shocks (no matter if you have koni install)
4. Speed Bump is absolutely a bitch
5. Both of your rear camber arms start hitting the chassis
This is the real problem. There's nothing else you could do unless you want to cut your chassis to accomodate travel distance for your camber arm and I'm not going to do that. No matter what kind of suspension you have, bags or pneumatic or hydrolic, as long as you still have that camber arms, you're going to have the same problem.I thinking to raise it again about 1" (to its previous height) . I can live with that.
Therefore for all the people out there, be really careful if you want to slam your car.
The 7th generation civic has a suspension limitation compare to previous generation.
BTW, take a wild guess, how low did I lower the car

speedracersong, the asphalt isn't a problem....
The problem is the rear camber arm hitting the frame of the car when you make a sharp cornering. Therefore, tomorrow I decided to raise my car 1". Too bad though....I like the way it looks now.

I love the way it looks too, but it's too big of a sacrafice for the quality of out cars... gotta considerate to it's overall drivability.

Thanks for sharing. The fender lips look ugly anyway, so I might roll mine out of the way somewhat. Actually, I already did a little bit, but I want to do it a little more. Anyway, I'm planning on getting air struts / air bags for my ride. I'll lower it to a reasonable height, but I'll adjust it so that the lowest height isn't too low and the highest height is almost stock, but a little lower than stock. Something like that. Well, unless I can control it to whatever height I want. Then I guess I would go as low and as high as possible. Thanks for the warning though. I'm at stock height and I have grinded up against stuff before because of my front end.

Guys, actually the ride isn't that bad since I'm using Carrera small body shocks for rear, koni for front. Anyway, I'll raise my car soon....I can't bear hearing my rear camber arm hitting the frame.
Where did you buy the rear shock and how much
Are the rear shocks better than having Konis on the back. I have my car lowere about 1.5 with Ground Control and Konis. It still bounce a lot in the rear

I think your car could go lower than that man cause my car is that low without a body kit.

The shocks are adjustable and come in many different stiffness either for rebound and compression. Beside that, you have to buy the 1.75" dia. carrera coilover kit, since GC and any other Coilover kit comes with 2" dia. sleeve. I can tell you in more detail if you're interested.
The reason I'm using Carrera, it's because I wanted to drop it more than 3".
The ride is pretty nice...not bouncy.
wow! thats pretty low, there is always a way to get it lower, BAGS! haha that solves everything for me! anyway, have fun i have my car a little higher than that and i drag like heck! oh well small prices to pay for looking good!
Essa, email me at toolowcivic@yahoo.com and give me more information on the rear shocks.

Essa!
I work for a company called Air Ride Technologies and we will be developing a kit for our cars very shortly. Once it is completed I can give you a cost on it and if you are interested I might be able to give you reasonable discount so I can get a few kits out. Serious people only though, by the looks of your car I know you are.

01EXtc, will you email me at toolowcivic@yahoo.com when you get a chance about the price of the air suspension. I would really like that. Does it ride as smooth as everybody says it is

TOOLOWCIVIC, Look for
1. Chrome small body shock #3265.
2. Coilover kit #1951
3. Stud conversion
You still have to use your previous coilover spring or you need to buy a 2.5" dia. spring.
Hope this help

WhiteRabbit, it isn't a paint job. It's a decal (sticker). I can peel it off when I get bored. I design the decal and have a shop in LA to print it. The shop is located on San Gabriel/Del Mar in LA
