WTB: Catalytic Converter

I need a downpipe/catalytic converter for an ex... apparently the misfires i had going on due to wiring problems caused my cat to be not as efficient as my car wants to be (P0420 thrown.. or was it P0421.. lol)

I'll settle for an OEM cat, but a Random Tech ex downpipe would be preferred.. Thanks!

P.S. Military doesn't pay well for us enlisted folk, so a low price would be appreciated.. Thanks!

Re: WTB: Catalytic Converter

I have a new unused , header and down pipe for a 1.6 SOC engine , i would be willing to get rid of this for 60.00 shipped , it has the hole for O2 sensor in header and in the down pipe in place of your converter

I was thinking about that.. but I was wondering if running a bit rich could potentially cause my failing cat to clog and get reduced flow and eventually start glowing and becoming a fire hazard.. we'll see what happens..

Re: WTB: Catalytic Converter

when u use the mechanical o2, it wont run rich anymore, itll lean out to the correct mixture cuz itll think the cat is doing its job, if ur looking to go cheap, this is the way to do it... and its not hard to do, i just wish it would work on mine, it doesnt fit on mine

Re: WTB: Catalytic Converter

try to call honda and ask them to look up the technical service bulletin on p0420 it just removing the boot with a cutter on the distributor wires.. Hondas has knows this for quite some time and there is a fix to this problem, just call honda and ask a tech. It's also posted on ondemand5 manuals as a tsb. reference # 05-027 date: June 10, 2005
hope that helps.
