Urgent:Done with DIY Headlight, Sealant extra

Got everything done now does it matter if I take off the silicone on the outside of the light, or should I leave a little on there for keeping the headlight from leaking?

Seached and read but couldn't find any information, wanna complete the project today

how much did you put on? You need a lot to keep the seal and if it's clear then you can't see it anyway and you should leave it on.

if there are huge gobs of it you might want to take it off, but if it is clear and just a little bit then it probably doesn't matter.

OK yeah its clear and there a few big areas but besides that it doesn't look half bad. When I took apart the Factory headlights they didn't have much that came out, so I definately had more sealant than they put on.

if you got silicon on the edges of the hd, just take sharp knife or razor blade and cut it off.....thats what i did, and i have no leaks
