for one thing its not worth it. i have the ex which has vtec and u really cant tell. and besides the dx, lx has lower compression which is better for FI. so just stick with the non vtec. thats just my opinion

its short for newbies. when u ask questoins that have been ask 2934639874 times it gets on some of our nevres bc all u ahve to do is search the question to get the answer. i really dont care unless it is a stupid question which yours wasnt that stupid.
Yea... It really wasnt that stupid but I have just been doing that to everybody today
This is what it stands for.

i honestly didnt think it was a stupid question at all, and for that matter, i thought it was an interesting one at that. my friend told me because of the different compression ratios between the EX and the LX.... If you were to slap an EX Vtec Head onto the LX block, you would have a really good, low priced, simple HYBRID. i was also under the impression that the LX had higher compression? i could be wrong on this one... ?
I am also wondering if it is possible to turn my non vtec LX engine into it's more powerful conterpart . If a vtec conversion kit exists where could one get it and or leran more about it? How much is it? And is it really worth it?

in order to turn an non-vtec engine into a vtec engine u need the head and ecu of a ex. which will cost u alot more then its worth. and Toretto everyone here knows we run off individual coils and not a distbuter u freaking PW.
