Ok im at 69,000 miles. Im driving home on the expressway and im crusing and want to accelerate so i floor it. It jumps to about 3,500 RPMS and then is stuck bouncing off of 4,000 RPMS. It DOESNT go above 4,000 RPMS. so basically if its not in 4th i cant accelerate. i can punch it through 1st hit second then it bounces and jumps the car at 4,000 and wont let me go higher.......

i have an AUTO.

is it fried?

Check your fluid condition and level first. It should be clear and reddish in color and not smell burnt.

alright , will do. Ill let you know how it turns out. Its not a big deal because im about to have someone swap a 5 speed into it.
