Springs&Shocks Questions

Well it's been over a year since I've owned the car and I haven't done much to
it besides what you see in my sig. Well at this point I really want to lower my
car. Some of you probably saw my other thread on Tanabe DF210s. I decided
not to get those anymore. I'm really looking at Neuspeed Race springs right now.
My civic has a 4 finger gap all the way around. (yes it's pretty high)

My questions for the neuspeed race springs are will the rear sag? I've seen
a few pics on the suspension post and some look great with the springs and
some of em' sag. I know neuspeed advertises them as 2.25" up front and 2.0"
in the rear. That's the main reason I'm so hesitant in getting springs. I really
don't want the rear-end sag. I know most of you guys would say "get coilovers"
but I'm a broke college student. Maybe in the future though..

As for the shock questions. I plan on running the springs on tokico blues. I did
some searching and some people with the race springs say it's fine but most say
get konis. As far as my driving goes I don't really drive too hard. I mainly
just cruise. I'm always easy on the suspension. Would these shocks be good
for my driving style? Also I know these shocks have lifetime warranty. How
does the warranty work? If these shocks were to blow will they get rebuilt
or will they send me new ones? I've emailed Tokico but I'm still waiting on a
response. Doesn't really say much on their site regarding their warranty.

EDIT: Also I know I'll def. need a rear camber kit.

That's about it..haha sorry for the long post! Just want to make sure before
purchasing.

seriously, you dont drive too hard ( as you said )...I have Tokico D-spec and I love it, 16 way ajustable in comfort! If it's your daily drive, neuspeed race is too low for you and you will hang everywhere and it's not really comfortable for road use but I believes that you will like neuspeed sport(1.75/1.50 )...tokico d-spec and neuspeed sport or race is the best! koni has some problem with their shock

I meant like getting from point a to point b. I hit the turns like a grandma.
The reason I like the neuspeed race because my friend with a 00' Si has em'
and they're perfect. Drop is great and performance is tight. He was also on
blues. I was looking at the sports a while back but it wasn't low enough for me.

You will probably be better off with Koni Yellows.. blues are meant for drops from 1-1.5"

low for me. Like i said I've seen a couple 7th gen with the race and it looked
perfect. So I'm sticking with the race FTW!

Re: Springs&Shocks Questions

they will fit either. I think if u wanna get a really nice drop from some springs get progress springs. They are by far the nicest springs for our car. Its just under 2" all around and i think its a bit lower in the back so the car looks evened out. Its freakin awesome.

Re: Springs&Shocks Questions

i have a 95 civic ex and am looking to get the yellow Koni Sport Shock. but im trying to decide on what kind of springs to get. Im looking at H&R Race Spring Set or Skunk 2 coilover Springs. Can anyone tell me if either of these would be a good setup please. I really dont want to have to come back a year later and really have no clue which to get. Any other tips would be appreciated too

Re: Springs&Shocks Questions

if i was in the market for springs i would either go Eibach or Tein but if i had to choose what you said i would definitely go with H&R.

Re: Springs&Shocks Questions

well i was reading some reviews about the konis and 1 of them said they had eibachs on there and there konis went bad in a year after putting them on.... i might look into tien. but right now im low on cash so i was just going to get some cheap coilovers off ebay since my shocks are already going out due to the mileage of the car. thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Springs&Shocks Questions

well each company makes different model springs with different hight drops and stiffness you need to go by the recommendation of koni on which i was merely recommending on quality of the spring itself not which model to get thats up to you.if you go past the recommendation of koni then yes they will not last as long.
