Walbro 255lph Fuel pump w/ Install Kit
So I see dezods new Walbro 255 Pump & install kit. Does this kit work without a return conversion? Otherwise, work with stock cars returnless style system? Bolt in & go?

Correct you do not need a return fuel system for it to work but you can make a return system with the fuel pump later down the road if you choose.

no real sense in upgrading the pump without doing a return conversion to begin with.

ok, you have to be damn near maxing out your injectors to benefit from this without doing a return conversion. i dont see why people dont give the stock pump enough credit. stock pump or not, the stock FPR in the tank keeps the pressure from rising. ive had an idling turbo tC get the purge switch stuck wide open on my snap-on fuel pressure gauge while calculating fuel rail pressure, dump out a few quarts of gas in about 30 seconds and the car didnt even flinch. realistically, the stock pump is more than capable of feeding the stock injectors and evidently can feed the RSX-S injectors to 100% duty repeatedly without failure. that being said, im convinced that even if i ran a return conversion at stock fuel pressure, the stock pump would be more than capable of running the car at full tilt. the only reason i plan on changing mine is because im going to bump up pressure and return fuel to the tank.

ok, so based on your experience with that tC running injectors that flow 210cc's over stock, youd generalize it and say it that upgrading the fuel pump will have the same effect on a boosted civic going from, what? 240cc stock to 310cc? as it does on a boosted tC?
Re: Walbro 255lph Fuel pump w/ Install Kit
I agree that its cheap insurance to upgrade the pump but the RSX uses the same pump as in our cars, the turbo k20s making more than 250-275 typically upgrade after that point. The factory RSX pump is more than capable of maxing out the stock RSX injectors. If someone is running a piggyback with rsx injectors and a stock fuel pump on a turbo D17 they are going to be ok at a 200-220 whp level IMO.

Re: Walbro 255lph Fuel pump w/ Install Kit
Wilmnchris, the 170whp auto that had our PnP head and made over 200whp.....he was having fuel supply issues from the stock pump on the car with just 170whp!! The tune became significantly rich after installation, which was a great sign due to the fact of adding the pump and supply of the fuel staying full blast under the entire RPM band. Most of the OEM pumps are designed to ween pressure down some as the RPMS rise.
Once again, if your shooting for a hard driven 175whp+ car, WHY RISK IT FOR JUST $100!????! If you have $$ to boost, but can not afford a $100 pump, you should not be boosting. And I will quote:
"If you can not afford to drive your car off a cliff, you should not be boosting your car..."
