scratched the hell outta my underside, lost the engine splash shield in the snow, and bent up the front frame rails. The oil pan isn't a problem cuz it's not exposed like on muscle cars
3 inches
yeah, and let me know how she feels...... and when you are that low, even going sideways over a speed bump wont do you any good.....
you are gonna destroy the car man, dont be dumb,
if you really want your car to look like its on the ground, bag it....... then you have full control......

This is as far as I can lower the car before the rear shock start bottoming out for right now. I only have less than 1" travel for the rear. The good news is, I found a short rear shock so that I won't have a bottoming problem for the rear suspension and would probably install it next week. After that, I can lower it another inch for back and 1.25 for front. My question is, would there any other technical problem that I would encounter if I do that
The lower you go the more you camber will be out. After you lower your car more take some pics from the rear side of the car so we can see how bad it is. Plus you will scrape over everything and it wont ride nice at all.
the only problem i have run into was the fact that when i barely go over a speed bump its like i am launched up in the air and come crashing down. other negatives is the camber. the inside of my rear tires are pretty warn. positives are lthe looks that you get if you have rims and a kit and its lowered with a system
.......just worry about the camber and the scrapin noise comming from underneath your car and those speed bumps and dips and unexpected bumps in the road.

The height looks perfect, hehehe.
EDIT: I never liked the stock spoiler on the Civic... until now... now I see how it should be sported... WITH the OEM body kit. You've got a bad *** car just by simply slamming it with the OEM kit and adding rims... another plus for the spoiler. (Of course, that's all I can see now.)
By the way, if you lower your car too low it can be illegal. The headlights MUST be 20 inches off the ground at least. That's a Cali law as far as I know.

cro2k2civicla: he has coilovers.
01IncaPearl: he has a camber kit.
He just wants to know is that when he drops it that far, will he run into any unexpected technical probs. He knows that ride isn't going to be great and that speed bumps will be a bitch. He wants to know the technical aspects related to slamming the car.
Essa, where did you finally find some shorter struts? The only problem I could see in having more suspension travel would be that the wheel itself could go up and break/rub your fender well liner in rear. As for the front, slamming it further could cause your wheels to rub not only into the liner, but into the fender itself. This could make it to where you won't be able to turn your wheel all the way. You might need to "roll" out your fenders. If you need a better explanation on how to do that, PM me.
