First off, I'm no mechanic, but want to figure this one out on my own. My speedometer randomly drops to zero, and may stay there for a few days, then I'll start it and everything will be fine. When the speedo is at zero, the check engine light is on as well. From reading other threads this seems to be a faulty VSS (vehicle speed sensor). I've obtained a repair manual, and can find pages on the vss, but I can't seem to find it when I open the hood. Can someone help me?? It seems that it is under the intake "resonator", I've removed the air box, and still can't find it.
