Finally got my intake.
Finally got my intake.
Hey guys, I finally got my AEM SRI today. It was pretty easy to install, but I did notice that the connector for the IAT sensor didn't have a lot of slack, I finally got it to reach pretty good, still needs a bit of adjusting. Has anyone else who installed a similar intake come across similar problems? Any help you guys could offer would be cool, thanks.
I wil fix vBPlaza today

when i did mine, i took a razor blade and very carefully cut some of the tape that was around the harness stock. by separating some of the wires, you can get a a bit more slack. then i taped the different pairs of wires separately. it gave me just enough extra reach that I don't feel like it's going to come out. and yeah, i wouldn't be cutting and splicing sensor wires.
Yeah, definitely don't want to cut sensor wires. it would probably make the situation worse lol. I did the same thing you did, I cut some of the tape binding the wires together, I got a a bit more slack, I just have to adjust my intake, I popped the hood this morning and it needs to go down a bit. Are you supposed to push the black connector that came with the SRI all the way down or is it supposed to stop at the notches on the throttle body?
