2006 LX Sedan Aux Input

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody out there has installed the audio auxiliary input jack, into a ‘06 Civic Sedan.

I was a bit surprised to see that it did not come standard, but from what I have researched already, I believe only the Civc Coupe has this jack standard.

Anyways, I would appreciate any hints or advice on the install. Also, if anybody has done this before, how difficult was it?

Thanks!

Marco

Majestic Honda has the installation instructions on their site. 4 pages, looks pretty easy IMO.

Yes I have the installation instructions and I've ordered the part. I think now I'm just in my super paranoid stage. I'm really hesitant with taking anything apart at the moment.

I bought the 06 Civic LX Sedan last week.

I'm hoping this is easy because the jack would be very useful.

I looked them over again, It looks quite simple. Not sure I would go the way of un-hooking the battery though. Too much work afterwards. I think you will find the panel they talk about removing is just clipped in place and will pull straight out. Locate the plug they mention and route the wire. the most time consuming item looks to be marking for the location and mount the jack itself.
