Fuel Economy

I'm curious as to what kind of fuel economy you're getting out of the 06s. I'm on my 5th fill-up and avg. about 34.5 mpg. Definately an improvement from the 19.5 I was getting in my Liberty. Just curious to see what others are getting.

I usually only get like 30 avg cause i do mostly city driving and I turn my car on and off alot. But on my trip to ocean city and back I got like 36 mpg. I have a manual ex coupeeeee.

My first tank yielded 30.11 mpg, which is pretty good for mixed city and highway driving on an automatic.

My wife gets 27 MPG consistantly driving around town rarely exceeding 45-50 mph. It is a 4 DR, EX auto with 1600 miles.

for me after 2 pumps average 7.8 km/L (= 18.3MPG) in the city (practice driving / parking)

haven't tested on the highway yet

Question

I know this may be a dumb question, but how do you calculate your gas mileage accurately? I still don't know all the functions.

take how many miles youve driven, and then divide that by how many galons your tank took at the pump.

Gas

I was getting between 35-38mpg driving mostly 50mph zones.... to work and using cruise alot... Very impressed with gas mileage

My first fill up today. 394 miles and took 11.32 gallons which is equal to 34.79 mpg.
That is roughly 11 mpg more than my 02 Acura TL-S I traded in.

I got this Civic for gas money savings and I am very pleased now.

I average 36-38 mpg. Mostly rural driving. Definately spirited driving habits. However, I have noticed that the mpg has been decreasing as the oil life percentage is decreasing. Bery, Bery interesting!

I have an 06 Civic EX coupe with automatic. Very pleased with the mileage. Just got back from a trip to the mountains, round trip a little over 600 miles of driving. Car has about 1300 miles on it now - back roads, not over 65, kept tach under 3K most of the time. Round trip avg was 39.25. On the way home, 200 miles after leaving the stop and go of the mountains and small cities, averaged just below 43 mpg. Neat little car.

Pretty Darn Good!

I try not to fill up until I've used at least half a tank of gas. Here are my numbers so far:

26 (1st tank--may not have been full), 33.3, 33.7, 39, 35.5, 34.2, 36.6.

I do mostly highway driving, but a lot of it has been stop and go and I do live in a very trafficky area so my city miles probably take the average down a good bit. I'm excited to see what this car will do on the highway with the air off, windows up, sunroof cracked, and keeping to the speed limit. I'm anticipating over 40 mpg in that scenario. It's just been so hot I haven't had a chance to try it on a long trip yet.

no they're not they have a 2.5L sohc H4... the 02-05 wrx's have a 2.5L turbo and the '06 wrx has a 2.5L w/ a smaller turbo than the sti.. where as the sti's have a 2.5L turbo from '04+

hmm

i average about 300 miles a tank. is that right for me? or am i driving this thing wrong. i got an 06 civic sedan EX
