Cheap hybrid on ebay
I think its very fair that he has a reserve.
He doesnt want to sell it too cheap, its no different to advertising in the newspaper. You will always have the minimum amount you want to get.
I think 15k would have been his reserve.

It can be a good strategy for selling something like that, as you set the minimum to what you would sell it for normally if you used traditional means, and then hope some sucker overbids and makes you some extra money.

He/She was not...it never made it to the reserve price...it had to bidders going at it...and they went from $12.5 to$13.3 max...seller wanted more...though the reserve price cost him.
$13 grand seems like a really good price. What is the regular price on these? The only thing I would worry about is buying it off of e-bay. I've heard of a lot of people getting ripped off when buying cars on there.
Does the seller have to pay a listing fee (a percentage of the price) if the reserve is not met? That's an expensive experiement. But he should have indicated the reserve. That way the buyers stood a chance.
Buying a car on Ebay sounds risky. Why do I get the feeling the warranties and stuff wouldn't still hold?
