Tire pressure

I cant imagine the difference would be too significant.
I would be pretty safe to say you'd definatly notice the difference if you bumped it up to 38psi, i wouldnt go to overboard though. What size tires does it have? If they are pretty damn small/skinny dont go too high or you'll overinflate and wear the center of your tire and get crappy handling/traction.
On other Hybrid forums the recommended tire pressure is 44 psi. I tried the first week or two at the book value of about 35 psi but I did notice a small increase after inflating them to 44 psi. The tire can easily handle this but some people find the ride too harsh and drop the pressure.
I have a friend who works at a place with a truck scale (resolution of 20# increments) and I weighed my car there once. My car had a full tank of gas except for the 50 miles I drove during the day or roughly 1 gallon of fuel and also had me in the car since I drove it onto the scale. I had a trunkload of computer parts weighing maybe 50-100 lbs as a guess. The displayed weight was 3,120 lbs. If I weigh 180, parts weigh 100 lbs then that is about 2,840 lbs or a close enough estimate of the weight so we'll say 2,800-2,900 lbs with a full tank of gas and me. Neat. All that with 110-hp. =) If the driver is not included then the car weight could be near the listed weight of 2,898# (listed in the book). I think most books list the curb weight with a full tank of gas but I might be mistaken. If they are claiming 2,732 lbs then that is definitely without fuel.

what i normally do when i want to maximize economy at the expense of handling, is i run about 4-5 psi UNDER the MAX COLD PSI rating whcih is 44 on most passenger car tires... may be 35 on some in which case i'd run the 35.. but i dont like to go over 40 on a car.....
yep hes right i got 40 max on all four tires with a tire size of 195/75 or 65 R15 i can't really remember right now. some hybrids like ours were availible with pressure relief valves built into them to prevent overinflation it was an option i have right now and seem to work well. Also go according to climate and the higher the PSI the the ride diffrence will be be a bit more notable.
