Question largest space for sub box?

im trying to figure out the measurements for my new custom built box for 2 12's but still unsure of whats the largest i can go. i measured my trunk and i estimated around 33" width/16" tall/17" depth. im sure i could have more depth but im afriad that it'll have a hard time getting into the trunk considering it has a small opening.

id like to know if anyone here has fitted a big sub box in their trunk? what ere the dimensions? perferably a coupe. hopefully someone could answer so i can give the box builder the exact dimensions im working with. would hate to find out the box doesnt fit

so i just remember i had this in my trunk before:

by those dimensions, you think i should do 33" wide/15" tall/20" deep for 2 JLw6v2's tuned to 32hz, which will leave me about 1.9 cubes(?) per sub? im looking for maxium loudness but still retain good SQ.

the height can't be 16" because it will wont fit and the width needs to be 32" and the most depth you can go is 32". I know because i built a box that was 16" in height and it didn't fit. My box messures Width-32", Depth-32", and Height-15" which gave me roughly 7.3 cubic feet. I have my speakers facing up though for 3 15" JL w6's. It's loud but is even louder with an epicenter hooked up. Hopefully that helped you out.

the largest i've made that comes in and out of the trunk is 41 wide, 21 deep, 13 tall

5 cubic feet

it may look like you cant fit it once you make it, but at the right angle, it'll go in

i've made larger, but it lived in the trunk full time
