I have had 19's on the car, and never got the ECU redone for them... 1st off can and is it nessisary to do this, so the tranny doesnt mess up because of the difference in size from the OEM?? 2nd off would the 19"s mess up the tranny? I have already put a new tranny in, nor do i want to do so again... I dont want to be doing this either i need some help soon... my new wheel should be in a week or two... The help is greatly apreciated...

i wouldn't say it's necessary, just something you need to be mindful of when driving. you can go to tire rack to find out how much the speedo will be off. i don't know off the top of my head.

as for wearing out the the tranny, i don't think it'll cause any unusual wear with normal driving habits. but if you drive like an *** all the time, it could come back to haunt you. put your stockers back on when you want to do that, you'll get better acceleration any way. not much, but some..and with our wimpy engines, some is better than none.....unless you're boosted...which since you're putting on 19s, you're prolly not.
