How to get 6.5s in 05 coupe doors??

I was under the impression that we had 6.5s in the doors and when igot the ones i ordered and took out the facotry ones the hole was waaaayyyyy too small and i could barely get the magnet it and still not al the way. I ordered the speaker adapter plates from crutchfield (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eDGOzOk...3200&I=142SAH6). Will those take care of my problem or do i need to do anything else??

I had to make my holes bigger. Increased my diameter by .5 in addition to the one inch spacer.

You should be good with just the spacer. Gearbox, you get components or coaxials?

i may have to give that a shot, are the tweeters you have loud enough to match the output of your amp'd speakers?

i used the spacers and grinded down the plastic on the inside of the door panels with a dremel for added clearance.

um yea theyre a bit too loud. i have the treble set at (-5) almost at lowest setting. im using alpine deck with upgrade power wire. the pioneer i used to have i could barely hear the tweeters. i guess alpine has better internal amp.
