Cluster conversion wires

Before we begin, lets get this out of the way..

Yes, I've looked at the diy and conversion threads listed. I've also searched for an answer and coming up dry.
-------
Now, I've done the cluster swap and the cluster works, but I'm two wires short. One of which doesn't matter (as others have left it undone without problems). However, the other one does matter and I need input as to where it might go.

In no plug did I have a green/black wire but like I said, the cluster works so I do not mind.

The wire that doesn't matter to my knowledge is a white/red wire. Others have said it doesn't matter so

The problematic wire that I'm trying to figure out where it goes is a White/Blue wire. From hi2nr listing it is White/Blue: (Canada Vehicles only) DRL Control unit

Any suggestions and/or other avenues/ides I might have missed why my headlights are not turning on?

I assume it is this white/blue wire as I am running retrofitted HIDs - with the fuses pulled for the DRLs already. However it does trigger the highbeam indicator on the cluster (and I know I used to lose my lights when they went on highbeam)..
I do not exactly want to take off the bumper + lights to test my oems to see if they work but I may end up doing that if nothing else.

When i did the rewiring...

my old wiring is not the same as on the DIY.
I Made it look like the new one except my car does not have two of the wires (So I had 4 extra wires)
I left them blank and tried to power it up, it doesnt work. only the signals works
I tried plugging the 4 extra wires into the two extra slots (tried all combinations) and still nothing works.
sometimes the high beam light would stay on even if my headlights arent on.

Now Im scared because I stupidly did not write down my original pinouts so I can even go back!

Which four wires did you have extra?
I believe I know what they are, just curious/want to confirm..

As for reverting back .. well I'm as stupid as you but I did revert back. Headlights work, but now I have a lot more cluster lights active as I do have four wires not connected

In any event, when I have more time free I'll try to schedule time to go to a shop/get a friend with more knowledge to help me. For the time being, it is back to not seeing the speed at night
