Dogfood in my resonator!
I was changing my air filter and I noticed something strange under the filter. Turns out it was dog food. I have absolutely no idea how it got in there but it sounds like there is about a cup of it in my resonator. I can't get it out. What should I do?
One possible scenario...Mice. Do you have a dog and keep the bag of dog food close to the Civic? But how did the mice get past the air filter? You may want to check the entire resonator assembly and make sure mice haven't chewed thru it somewhere.
The other thought is that someone is goofing with you and put the dog food in there.

haha yea the resonator wont open. and it does have some small spaces inside and areas where there are multiple chambers (so if you shake one way they fall into another hole). just get a new one. i usually see them on ebay for cheap or even this site.
That's right. The resonator assembly is before the air filter.

no there shouldnt be funes in the bay, unless you have exhaust leak. thats whole point of exhaust system to route fumes to the muffler. it may get hot, but who knows if they can survive.
yeah mice die in cars all the time, and alot of the time they die inside under the dash ( in the ac some where), my buddy has to take dashes out at toyota all the time for cars that have a bad odor its funny.
One time i had a hotdog bun and a hamburger bun on top of my valve cover and the hot dog bun was all chewed to crumbs all over my motor, wierd.
What about Acura beats Viper, it was a snake dead on a gsr engine. Animals like heat too.
