I have had somthing like that happend to me. I was showing off for one of my friends and 1st to 2nd was cool then when I was shifting to 3rd from second and I kinda got stuck for a second and got it in. Felt like the whole shifter moved up. Then when I was driving back home it moved back to normal. I wonder what the heck that was about??

I can slam the hell out of it into second, but the shift to third is always more of a super-quick flick of the wrist for me. I have never slammed third. Hmmm...I don't know what you did. I think there are stops that keep you from being able to get it past a certain point.

Sorry to tell you bro but your 2nd gear or 4th gear syncronizer went bye bye(maybe even both). well if it makes you feel better i know this because it all ready happend to me. the good news is that if your warranty is intact you'll have no problem getting it fixed at the dealer and its not a very serious problem but it is annoying as FU$%. FYI, when i had mine fixed its repair lasted about a week and a half. but if you can, get it fixed anyway.

Not to flame you, but get your facts straight. You don't need to be posting things you don't know about. As for the synchro assembly's you should be more detailed, cause you sound like a idiot. 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/Rev. The 7th gen. civics now have double cone synchros.

Listen just because i simplify what i am saying doesn't mean i don't know what i am talking about. FYI, I spend most of my time as a mechanic, so i am very aware of the way the transmission works and what its components are.

if you noticed i said the 2nd gear and/or the 4th gear synchronyzer, i never said 2nd, 3rd, and or 4th gear. maybe, its safe to assume that i said it the way i said it because i know the way they work, not to mention that i had the same problem as Import and when the car was returned to me from the dealer i had the work order in my hand in conjunction with the order form for all the parts they used.

So in the spirit of friendship and peace i will assume your comments were just to be friendly and that you didn't mean to sound like an AS#Ho&E!

Import, they sould fix it at the dealer, but try to call and find out discretely. good luck

You better put your stock shifter back in cause I guarantee you they will try to get out of fixing it for free and blame it on your revo

Hey I have the same problem too though, and it's my first manual car so I figured I was doing something wrong... Should I have it checked?

yeah, you should, but don't be discouraged if it happens again after you get it fixed. again, its not a very serious problem, but i know it can be annoying.
