LMAO Now that is n00b question!

Spark plug... break the words down, Timmy. In essecence, it is a "plug" that throws a "spark" when the engine cylinder is at the top of its combustion stroke.

Don't let some of these guys turn you off Bobby. This is really a cool place. And when people laugh or make fun of you just ignore them and don't start a peeing match over it cause they are not worth it. Hope you stay around and enjoy it.

the best way for you to learn about cars in general is to take an auto shop class. It's very cheap at your local community college

to answer your question. all the spark plug does is ignite the fuel/ air mixture inside the combustion chamber (that's where the piston is). usually when someone claims to have designed a better spark plug they mean that it has a hotter or has a larger spark than an average plug. but its also important to know that not every spark plug will work properly for every car. but that is a more complex explination.

the second part of your question, yeah its easy to change a spark plug if you have the right tool and if they are accessible, which in your case(since you have a 2k1 HONDA) they are very accessible.

by the way, ask as many questions as you need to. don't let anyone get to you, because what some people seem to forget is that at one point they didn't know how a spark plug worked either.

The only reason Pimpdakota is a senior member is cause all he does is flame others all day long. He is not a senior member cause he contributes anything good that is for sure.

I'll have to disagree with you there Bobbyd,...(even though I think Dakota may have directed his flame towards me)

Dakota does contritues quite a bit in my oppinion. He has one of the tightest cars here and is usually helpful. He seems pretty experienced and his car shows it. May we caught him on a bad day?, (ok, I'll get off his nuts now, hehe)
