exhaust question
i took off my restinator when i put on my custom exhaust. i ened up welding a pipe in between and dont think i can get the res. back on. my question to you is is there any cat-back (dc, tanabbe, or whatever) where you dont need you res. and i can just have a full system from headers to cat then to exhaust.

all of the cat back systems replace the resonator. if the resonator is between the cat and the muffler, wouldn't it stand to logic that it would be replaced if you replace everything "from the cat back" with an aftermarket system? the answer is yes, if you buy an aftermarket cat back exhaust, they all either come with a new resonator or they just don't have one.

You don't need a resonator. It is there to mainly muffle or lower the sound of the exhaust system. I have the magnaflow system and it came with one. I am not sure if it hurts performance or if any gains would be seen from removing it.
