^what will it matter? filter or no filter, the turbo is sucking in air from the same place. besides, the top of the filter is plastic, it wont transfer nearly as much heat as say a steel pipe. my concern is that radiator hose having restricted flow..
^^^^ Either way i think the air it sucks in is gonna be hot. Where the sf was located it would still pick up a lot of heat. Yes this isn't the best solution in the world and it may kink the radiator hose a tiny bit but its still better than nothing....The radiator hose looks to be like it won't be affected
I mean i can make a pipe off of the turbo, but how cost effective would that be to the consumer. plus that is just another pipe that has to be polished like the charge pipes. I mean if the demand is there I will make one.
its not the hose that is the issue. The thermostat is actually the issue. It hits where the lower hose slips over the thermostat.

speaking from a show car point of view, this would not be acceptable. the filter is smashed in there and even pushing the coolant line. now it might seem fine now, but over time youre gonna have a nice hole there with coolant everywhere from vibration. and dont say it wont happen. ive seen plastic make holes in metal from rubbing too much
well when I get time I will go about making a pipe for all of the show people. YOu would have to come off of the turbo with a short 45 or 90 degree. It just depends on where you want to route the piping and filter. But for now this is just fine for me. Stainless Steal pipe is not cheap unless you can get mass quanities
Ive done a lot of things the cheap way but, i always ended up fixing it the rightway. Might be fine for now but months down the road id hate the see hot coolant spray right into the turbo.
not looking for the cheap way out. i am just trying new ideas a seeing now they fit. just give me time i have tons of pipe laying around just have to see if i have 3.5 inche pipe. its just a fix for now so that i do not damage the turbo.

my turbo was in about the same place i did a 3 inch 90 straight up coupled to a 3 1/2 inch 90 placeing my filter right on top the the tranny to clear the hose and thermostate. it was cheap, but worked i just used some old pipeing i had around from cold aitr intakes.
AJ, ye only prob is if it will fit with the factory fans. Looks like i will try to go up through the 2 hoses. i have a couple ideas. but ye you are right that way will work. I also want it to match the same as the charge pipe.

it shoudl fit wit hteh factory fans, my tubo basically sat on the fan houseing. just my intake pipe didn't match my charge pipeing which kind of sucked, but my turbo was more go than show and i did what worked, with what i had. Which is what I assume you did. I have a buddy with a turbo b18c1 and he is running the same kind of filter setup as you. All I can say is it works, so whats the problem.
Its dezods spec'd turbo from his v3 kit. I think for an individual its not a bad idea....but for a company like Dezod, if you try doing this its gonna take away some points from my book.....Its just not company material if you guys know what i mean
