I just had a new JVC KD-HDR1 'HD Radio' head unit installed. It makes the AM stations sound as good as FM stations, and the FM stations are near CD quality (assuming the station you are listening to is equipped with HD). Many FM stations broadcast two channels, HD-1 is their standard FM station, and HD-2 is a commercial free all music station. If you listen to AM or FM radio a lot, it is well worth it. I chose the JVC over an Alpine because the JVC had HD as standard equipment, whereas the Alpine needed an additional adaptor. This is the first JVC I've owned, and so far, I'm very pleased. It's also equipped with SRS surround sound that beats the hell out of my old Clarion DXZ945MP (I got rid of that one because the touch screen was way too complicated and took my attention away from the road).

yea my gf has a Alpine IVA-W200 I was so pissed with the reception compared to my Pioneer, then I relized you need to add the reciever add on unit, sht they get you for everything, we were going to add on the BlackBird naviation, but I found out you need a 200$!!!!!! docking station, comeon, the unit is around 700 itself
