idk maybe. open the panel and check. my anti-lock mechanism broke, meaning if the driver door is open and you lock the doors, the lock goes down instead of staying up. stupid thing locked me out once with car running. but i havent had problems with them moving up/down when doors are closed.

Civic_RedLine will become famous soon enough
removing the door panels isnt hard at all, just takes some common sense to see where the bolts are holding it down.. basically just one after another..

jester444 is an unknown quantity at this point
Were you doing this with the doors open or closed? I know on my car, an EX, if the door is open, the door won't lock. It does exactly what you're describing. I guess it's kind of a safety measure, but gets annoying when I forget to lock my car, and I can't have my friend go do it.

Is there an actuator?

My driver side door is doing the same exact thing. When I hit the lock button it didn't go down. Then I put the key in and locked it that way. Then I locked/unlocked it like 5 times with my key and then tried it with the remote again and it worked.... I dont know wtf is going on

ive used the locks alot too they should be able to withstand normal use. after the so called safety feature broke, i just cut the ignition wire so they dont auto lock anymore. one time getting locked out is enough for me. oh and my windows are squeaking when i use em.
