you know when you press the lock button it chirps once and all zones are active. well when you keep pressing it you can deactivate certain stuff. I was wondering what all the presses did, i mainly wanna have my car key on its own keychain so if i have to stop at a gas station or somewhere for a few minutes i dont have to turn off the car. i want to arm the alarm but turn off the shock sensor so the car shaking (engine) doesnt set it off.

if your shock sensor is set properly, a running engine wont trigger it. What model viper do you have?

viper 600. the shock sensor is set very conservatively. it only triggers full alarm if someone slams against the door, and chirps sometimes with loud bass. but sometimes the engine vibration triggers the warning chirps. i guess i could just do silent arm so it wont chirp and hope full alarm doesnt trigger...

the warning chirps start if the fan kicks on while at full arm. so i should be okay doing the silent arm.
