Tuning?
I plan on putting a turbo in my LX and i'm pretty new to turboing, anyways.. from reading the turbo FAQ i can probably handle 6 psi of boost with stock internals. Where would i get my car tuned to run 6psi or any psi for that matter.. there aren't too many ppl that i know of in my city running turbo's and quite a few of the shops are pretty shady so where should i start looking for shops to tune my ride ? sorry if this is a ridiculous question and been posted a million times.

ex head? for turbo-ing... i know the vtec but is there another reason.. better compression? Anyways i would need a Dyno tune? I could probably go to Toronto and get it done, thats not a problem. Will it hurt to drive it un tuned?

You always need to dyno tune without a doubt and furthermore, T.O. has some excellent tuning shops.
Yes it can hurt you driving untuned. THAT can cause your motor to go bye bye. So becareful and stay out of boost if you decided to do so.
The person who said you can run stock injectors, is completely wrong. DO NOT DO THIS! ATLEAST run 310cc RSX injectors.
Lastly, we are the highest quality D17 turbo system manufacturer around. Email me for more details: paul@dezod.com

I've been running 8-9 psi daily for almost 3 years on stock injectors untuned and I have never had a problem yet. Still on the stock HG.

I run on stock injectos (TSI fuel system). The way tsi system works - if it doesnt see boost it is not adding extra fuel, I also have internal WG.
I just locked WG fully opened (disconected actuator and used wire to tie down WG arm in open position, 2 min of work) and was driving so for several days, untill I was done troubleshoting some minor issues.

So i would have to install everything, turn the boost down manually right? and bring er to Toronto to get dyno tuned. Is a tune expensive? should i then follow up with a Safc and better injectors ?
does Dezod ship to Canada? I also looked at at turbo kit at procivic.com, The Turbo Specialties Extreme Turbo Kit for 2529.99, is the dezod kit a better kit?

I just wanna make sure that im gonna get my complete $4-$5000 worth and have a kit that will last and not fry my motor. I'm a daily driver / night time idiot hahahaha i guess you can say that.

Well, you need some type of fuel/engine management system to tune with. Safc, e-manage or AEM ems. I have seen ppl run stock injectors with safc or type s injectors with safc. You are better off spending a few bucks more and going with the e-manage and type s injectors.

With respect to tuning, it's usually $75-150/hr. Spend the extra $$ and scoop some used RSX injectors of ebay or clubrsx.com. As far as engine management, I would go with the AEM EMS or the PCS XFC with Fuel Kit. Chris who dyno'd those numbers used the PCS XFC.
