K20a3 turbo or k20a2 swap
K20a3 turbo or k20a2 swap
Hi, first off all a study the possibily to put a turbo on my d17 an a not very sure of it. I'm sure the d17 will be efficient a long term.
It's for this reason that a not sure because de k20a3 is cheaper thant k20a2. But maybe it will return at the same this because turbo kit is not give $$$
Give your opinion on this.
Thank
Alex

D17 turbo- better run low boost and get good fuel system and management like ems
k20a3 turbo- handle more but still may have problems
k20a2-- Reliable daily driver that is gonna be fun to drive.
there is a lot of options. Go with a k24 block and k20 head for a n/a setup...thats what i would do.

I hope it helped!

Merci s'est gentil de se forcer pour parler français au lieux de m'insulter. In your turbo setup 03-acura 1.7 el what is your fuel management? do you put internal parts inside your D17 before put a turbo. turbo kit increase torque and is't good.

k20a2 just because it comes with a 6spd vs a 5spd and you can still boost it if you want. Besides i whoop on my buddies k20a3 *boosted 300whp* even though i have no traction lol.

IMO I would go with the k20a3, but go a different route and slap on a jackson racing s/c. Compared to the a2 or a swap it is still cheaper and with the supercharger you'll have more power and longer reliability. Its what I have been looking into doing just $$ is holding me back
nothing is better than forced induction for power. You'll get the most out of a turbo setup. But if you give a **** about relaibility and all... obviously a stock k20a2 swap. I'd go for turbo though, it would rape a k20a2.
^^ no love for boost as well, i had a boosted celica drove it for 4 years with no problems what so ever. If you build and tune it right, it will be able to handle the boost and put out out the hp. Look at BLACKICESWAP's #s, can't touch that.
