Post Rear Deck Removal Pics Not Showing Up?

Hey, can someone please email me a copy of the thread (in HTML format, simply the web page saved) where the guy has pics of the DIY of removing the rear deck? I only see "X's" where the pics should be and I can't get it to work. Yes I did try to refresh the page and it didn't work (did this several times by the way.) Please reply to this thread telling everyone else that you already sent me the email so that I don't get a flood of email. Thanks Jay

Well, I haven't started yet but I was going to look at it to see how hard it was. I have taken apart the entire interior before to put sound deadener in and replace the front speakers so it couldn't be as hard as that, but I didn't do the rear deck. I would like to put sound deadener there and replace the rear speakers.

Ok, so I start by flipping the clips that are on the front of the deck, then do I unclip the white things that are holding it down around the entire piece? Do I have to take any bolts/ screws out? Do I just pull up on the piece when I get all of the parts taken out? Any info would help.

Thanks,

Jay

There are three clips on the bottom front of it that you need to flip back. After you do that, you need to unplug the rear upper brake light. There are no bolts or screws that need to come out. If you look at it from in the trunk you can see the clips and their position on the hatrack. At this point you can just lift up to break the clips loose. Ah yes, and do you know you need to remove the c pillar covers? Hope this helps. This is a simple task, but putting it back together proved to be the harder part of the two.

Ok, thanks man, this really will help me. I only have one question. You know the rear passenger "grab handle", I had tried to remove that before and it kinda broke. I tried to use a flathead screwdriver and pull it out and I really tried, I pulled as hard as I could and I still couldn't get it out. The plastic on it broke and now I can't get it up at all. How the heck do I remove that sucker? I only ask because I would like to put some sound deadener behind that plastic piece along with installing the rear speakers. Thanks guys, if anyone knows how to get the grab handle off, i wuld really appreciate it. Thanks, Jay
